Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance provider. To utilize these benefits, you would pay our full session fee upfront and receive a superbill, which you can submit directly to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

We encourage you to contact your insurance company to understand your coverage. Here are some helpful questions to ask:

    • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

    • What is the out-of-network coverage for CPT codes 90791 (Initial Evaluation) and 90834(Psychotherapy)?

    • How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

  • We designate a number of appointments a week specifically for clients in need of sliding-scale spots. These spots are based on financial hardship and client’s willingness to fully participate in ongoing therapeutic services. Please address this in the initial phone consultation if you think it might apply to you. If sliding scale is set up, therapist has the right to revisit payment if finances or participation changes.

  • Finding the right therapist is a bit like finding the right pair of shoes—you want one that fits well, feels comfortable, and supports you. We suggest a 15 minute consultation to briefly assess if it is a good fit. Here are some key factors to consider when determining if a therapist is a good fit: You feel heard and understood, their approach aligns with your needs, you feel safe and comfortable, you see progress (even if it is small), you feel trust and professionalism, you feel respected and empowered.

  • We currently provide clinical therapy services to clients located in Illinois. Due to licensing regulations, you must be physically located in Illinois at the time of your session.
